After weeks of speculation, Kanye West’s rumored women’s fashion line has been confirmed to debut October 1, 2011 in tandem with Paris Fashion Week. It is reported that a select one hundred individuals from around the world will be invited to preview the 2012 spring/summer ready-to-wear collection, which was made evident by a simplistic black and white invitation merely inscribed with details pertaining to the time and location, accommodations by Karla Otto fashion PR, and more intriguingly the initials Dw. Perhaps an homage to the rapper’s late mother, Donda West? Stay tuned for more updates as impending details unfold. Sources believe that West began working on his own ready-to-wear line under the guidance of British knitwear designer, Louise Goldin. With the process yet to be finalized, it is rumored that the fourteen-time Grammy winner will have his line made by Central Saint Martins graduate students in Turnmills, which will be led by none other then the head of CSM’s graduate fashion program, Louise Wilson.
